Ky-ManiWith his third untitled album close to completion, Ky-mani definitely is a star by himself. Ky-mani was born to Robert Nesta Marley on February 26th on the 26th of February, 1976. Ky-mani appeared as Kassa in One Love. The film is an enthralling love story of a conscious musician in reggae who is able to escape the darkness and finds out that his world has changed when he is enticed by an innocent girl in the church. It was highly praised by film critics as as film festival audiences. This film has not yet released in cinemas. Frank Flowers has directed Ky-Mani's feature film Haven. Haven was shown at Toronto International Film Festival. Additionally, Ky-Mani is set to reprise his lead part for Shottas II that will begin production in 2004.He was five years older when his father died, though Ky-Mani's voice returns you to a very familiar location. It will transport you to an older generation that was part of reggae's boom. Ky-Mani's message remains "one love. One goal. one goal". Anita Belnavis in Falmouth (Jazzica). In Jamaica, the East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler" and each album, or trip can be described as an adventure. The Journey, his musical journey, began in the year 1999. His eclectic vision allowed Ky-Mani to discover his unique style and develop the many talents he has. 2001 was the year that Many More Roads (Grammy-nominated), a "traditional" reggae record was released , revealing a mature Ky-mani. The Journey and Many More Roads were well appreciated across the globe, establishing Ky-mani as an independent "artist". Ky-Mani has earned a reputation by his unique mix that combines hip-hop with R&B along with some contemporary jazz.
