Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. Being a smart and beautiful actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role model for numerous Asian actors in Hollywood who wish to make it big. After a series of initial performances in popular shows she achieved fame by joining the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles that were filmed on the large screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. She also played leading characters in failed box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to voice prominent characters in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. small screen roles like Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia did not yield positive results. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her as an actress.
