Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay Brodie was born in Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MCKAY, who was brought up in the Mormon Church's First Family used her literary talent and expertise in research to write the fascinating psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 with the title: No Man Knows My History, she used both. That title was taken from a funeral sermon delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled his listeners by declaring: You don't know me I never told you about my heart. There is no one who has ever been told about my story. There is no way for me to reveal it. Fawn has written the 29-year-old Fawn. From that point the three authors have taken on the task. Many have abused him some have deified him; some have even attempted to make a diagnosing him. The problem isn't just that the documents do not exist, but however they're wildly contradictory. In order to assemble these documentsin order to distinguish first-hand stories from plagiarism by third parties, and then fit Mormon and non Mormon stories together to form a reliable mosaic isn't an easy task. This is exciting as well as instructive. FawnBrodie was a dedicated devotee to her job. Her research as well as her writing earned her the world's attention: Thaddeus Stevens. "The Devil's Road" (1959) The Slaughter of the South. Thomas Jefferson. An Intimate Historiography (1974) as well as posthumously Richard Nixon.
